Pangolin’s Teatime is an award-winning, Edinburgh-based, puppet company presenting new writing through experimental and traditional puppetry. The company works collectively to devise shows and create spectacular puppets and sets.

The company was established in 2006 and we produce our own shows as well as working collaboratively with other theatre companies. The company was awarded Best Creative Ensemble and a Commendation for Design at NSDF 2007 for Haözkla. Jeremy Bidgood was also awarded the RSC Buzz Goodbody Directing Award for his work on the same show.

We work with a variety of puppets including: direct manipulation/table-top, shadow, marionette, rod, and glove. We use these traditional techniques as inspiration for shows that are dynamic, expertly puppeteered and original in their choreography.

We promote an awareness and understanding of puppetry through free performances and workshops.

Our aim is create puppetry that is artistically strong and valid within the wider world of theatre.
